Phaedra was born as Phaedra Clark in Vancouver on September 9, 1969, the daughter of Edward Clark of the Hoss Family from Centralia, Washington and Betty Baldwin-Blackwolf, from the Blackwolf clan of the Klamath Tribe of NW Indians in Chiloquin, Oregon. She was raised by her grandparents, Harold and Avis Clark from the time she was an infant. Phaedra’s Native American heritage inspires her belief that everything is connected and we must all walk gentle upon this earth. She is a natural storyteller and draws on the great reserve of experience and wisdom from her ancestors and her own life experience. She is currently married and has a son and two daughters.
Phaedra is of Native American decent from the Klamath Tribe of the Pacific Northwest. She has been acting since college, where she received a scholarship doing Children’s Theatre. Her first acting job was her critically acclaimed portrayal of Sierra, a Native American woman, in the TV pilot Dr. Wilderness.
She has subsequently starred in several independent films. Her starring role as Akilah in NOBODY AMERICAN was a highlight of the NY Independent Film Festival, playing in Los Angeles and New York City. She also played opposite Benjamin Bratt as his love interest, the Beautiful Brunette, in the 2005 Sundance Film Festival winner, THUMBSUCKER, directed by Mike Mills and released by Sony Classic Films. She has also hosted several industrial videos for Intel, HP, Department of Veterans Affairs to name a few, co- starred in the show COOKING WITH CHEF PAULINO, and had a guest appearance on CSI: Crime Scene Investigation.
Phaedra has recently signed with LA Management, with Paul Uvanitte acting as her manager. She is negotiating with several agencies for theatrical and commercial representation and plans to announce her new agency soon. She is a past Screen Actors Guild (SAG) member (eligible to renew) and is a current with American Federation of Television and Radio Artists (AFTRA).
Phaedra is also experienced in technology and has an extensive resume in internet technology and data networking as a global manager for an international telecommunications company.
She is currently writing a short screenplay CIRCLE OF KARMA and also a children’s book called KARMA FOR KIDS. She has published a photography book BLOCK ART.
Her dream is to continue to pursue her creative endeavors, allowing her time to dream, to play music, to write, to act and to travel the world. She also hopes to one day live one year of her life in the south of France in her own chateau.
